First two days at sea on our way to Tahiti

1stand 2ndOctober 2019

Well on our way to Tahiti, we are currently bearing 165 degrees (yes backtracking just a little) and motoring along at around 18 knots in near perfect conditions. Seas are dead flat and the breeze has been 10-15 knots from the NE. We have not seen another boat since we left Kauai, nor any sealife.

The water is a deep blue, lots of sunshine (with the odd patch of light rain) and a balmy mid 20’s temperature with around 70% humidity. Pretty close to perfect.

Today (2ndOct) is our second at sea day, with 3 more to come before we berth at Papeete on 6thOctober.

Relaxation is the main activity and we are not finding it too stressfull.

Tomorrow we cross the equator, so no diubt King Neptune will appear for the usual spectacular initiation of those who are crossing for the first time.
